Located in the Gallup area, Sena works closely with the local shelter and takes in all breeds of adoptable dogs. She has a special interets in
Border Collies. She is also able to help with transportation within the state.

Located in the Albuquerque area, Lauren is able to visit the local
shelters periodically to let rescuers know if there are adoptable
Border Collies in the shelters. She is also able to do some home
visits to potential adopters in the area to check them for rescuers
who are not local.

People's Anti Cruelty Association /Albuquerque Animal Rescue
(PACA)
A No-Kill rescue group which rescues, rehabilitates, and rehouse homeless dogs and cats. PACA has no shelter facility and relies on an organized network of foster parents who graciously take animals into their homes and hearts until permanent homes are found. She is willing to pass on potential BC adopters to BC rescuers and let rescuers know about any BCs needing fostering and adoption.

Susan Hayes and other members of the New Mexico Herding Dog
Association (NMHDA) are available to help network and sometimes
foster and adopt BCs and other herding dogs looking for homes. It is
not necessary for the dogs to work for help to be
provided.

I rescue and foster dogs on our cattle ranch and work with them on
obedience from the start. When I can, I also work with the dogs on
stock to see if they have interest and potential as herding dogs. I
